We want to be upfront about how [Money Moves Now] makes money — because we think you deserve to know.
The Honest Explanation
Running a good website takes real time. Researching articles, writing them properly, keeping them updated, paying for hosting and tools. We do this because we genuinely believe in the mission — helping people manage money better.
To keep doing it we need to earn some income from the site. We do that in two ways: Google AdSense advertising (you’ll see ads on the site) and affiliate marketing (some links earn us a commission when you click through and buy).
What Affiliate Marketing Actually Means
When you click certain links on [YOUR WEBSITE NAME] and then buy a product or sign up for a service, we may receive a small commission from the company. Amazon Associates is one example — we link to relevant books and products on Amazon and earn a small percentage of qualifying purchases.
The price you pay is completely unchanged. You don’t pay more because we earn a commission. The commission comes from the retailer’s marketing budget, not from your pocket.
Which Links Are Affiliate Links?
We try to disclose clearly at the top of articles when they contain affiliate links. This page itself serves as a general site-wide disclosure.
If you’re ever unsure whether a link is an affiliate link and want to know — just email us at [YOUR EMAIL] and we’ll tell you.
Does This Affect What We Recommend?
No. And this is the thing we feel most strongly about.
We have turned down affiliate partnerships for products we don’t genuinely rate. We have written critically about categories of products that would earn us more money if we were more positive about them. We have recommended free alternatives to paid products we could earn commissions on.
If we wouldn’t recommend something to a friend with complete honesty — we won’t recommend it to you.
FTC and ASA Compliance
In the US this disclosure complies with Federal Trade Commission guidelines (16 CFR Part 255) on endorsements. In the UK it complies with Advertising Standards Authority and Competition and Markets Authority requirements. Both require clear disclosure of commercial relationships in online content.
